Don’t get me wrong, England has a few colourful and beautiful animals such as a pheasant… but nothing compared to what I saw in India. These are some of my favourite photos I took of the animals whilst I was out there.
Paint me like one of your french girls?…
Some intense eye contact was going on whilst taking this photo.
Now I had never seen a chipmunk before so can you imagine how excited I was to view this little guy.
This camel reflects how I feel on a daily basis. This was after a camel ride and I honestly felt so sorry for the camel I was riding as curries had reaaalllyyy got to my belly. He deserved to make this face at me.
You either give me a hug or you pick these insects off me, your choice buddy. This was a hike up these steps for over an hour… My thighs felt like fire afterwards but coming back down to see the monkeys bonding made it worth it
Myna bird about to take
flight. This lil dude was taken in the Humayuns Tomb and was prancing around us for ages. He earned this photo.
Shake those tail feathers. He was there for ages and was basically begging to get a picture. This was taken at a Gandhi memorial overlooking a lake.
Herding the buffalo through
the local village, Tordi Sagar.
It’s fair to say the buffalo’s weren’t used to white people being in such a remote village so we were told to move as far away as possible. As soon as they saw us they were not happy and really made it known by grunting, flaring nostrils and wait wait did I just describe myself instead…
This beauty was pretty happy and vain getting his photo taken. Can’t complain as this was a beautiful shot in front of Amber Fort. Also that lake in the background had so many signs saying ‘Beware of crocodiles’ so I would not be comfortable doing the balancing act he was doing.
Beautiful birds in a darkened backdrop from the sunset. This was in Lodhi Gardens, Delhi where we went to chill out after a hectic day of tuk tuks, bartering and 40 degree heat with crazy humidity.
Nice photos! You’ll always find beautiful animals and birds in India.
